Improvement of the computational performance of a numerical algorithm for PVC molding injection

ABSTRACT

The aim of the project was to improve the computational performance, i.e. to reduce the time required for solving the problem, of a numerical algorithm specifically developed for the simulation of the PVC molding injection process.
The aim of the project has been achieved improving the numerical algorithms of each iterative scheme developed to solve the non-linear equations, in order to reduce the number of iterations required to achieve the convergence of the scheme.
